Job Description

- To coordinate the preparation and submission of techno-commerical bids to meet time and budget targets and the agreed service and quality level with internal and external customers

- To coordinate the execution of the project between customer, internal departments, and site personnel to ensure all contractual requirements are met in a timely and cost effective manner

·         Lead the development and implementation of the Supply Chain Strategy of the Business Unit, aligned to the Corporate Objectives

.  The KNB Supply Supervisor will be solely responsible to make sure a seamless, efficient operation using the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWARDS) and LMP

2. Supply Supervisor responsible for the operations within the supply section and manages the AWARDS (Army War Reserve Deployment System) workbench and standard supply function.

8. Supply team conducts 100% cyclic inventroy throughout the year, inspection and replacement of secondary items BII, COEI, OBSL, ASl, EDIL safety and fire equipment , etc. on an annual basis for all watercraft/MCS IAW Army Regulation (AR) 710-2 and DA PAM 710-2-1 and this PWS

9. Items identified as excess on the vessels are removed, stored or turned in as indicated by the COR/Marine Surveyor

10. Supply Supervisor assists COSIS Project Manager in completion of daily , weekly and monthly reports.

11. Monitor the DA2404s and monitor the Material Condition Satus Report, DA 2406.

o Obtains quotes for Transportation, Clearing & Forwarding, also making Cost Comparisons.

o Planning of procurement, Inventory Control, Logistics & Distribution.

o Fully accountable for MSL’s (Minimum Stock Levels), for all Regions, Divisions and Branches.

Objective:

§  Manage the tender process from the bid to selection stage to consolidate major purchases and secure best possible price by leverage.

Shipping

§  Plan, organise, monitor and control the transportation of materials – specially the raw materials – at least possible cost ensuring timely deliveries.

§  Develop and negotiate freight rates to economically transport raw materials to manufacturing facilities and finished products to warehouses.

Administration

§  Processes to conclusion all disputed purchases of goods and services for the protection of the Company and fairness to the supplier.

§  Manage the disposal of expired and obsolete goods to ensure efficiency and compliance with environmental and waste disposal regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

§  Bachelor Degree in a Business discipline

Minimum Experience

§  8 - 10 years experience in Purchasing, Sales, Logistics, Systems Management and / or Financial Management with a proven track record at a senior management level.

§  Specific experience of Aluminium industry is a requirement of the job.
