Yahya Al Kodmani, experienced Agricultural Engineer and Professional Businessman established "Al-Darmaky for Contracting and Agricultural Materials" in Al Ain city way back 1982, known as the Arabian Oasis in the UAE Gulf Region. "Al Darmaky" utilizes its strength and services to the farming community by supplying the quality agro inputs through various marketing strategies by means of showroom, direct selling and delivery to the farm, etc..
Al Darmaky is known to be specialized in the field of greenhouses construction applied with the latest greenhouse innovation technology including irrigation network system designs and hydroponics applications. Al Darmaky has built thousands of greenhouses & nurseries (e.g. tunnels and multi-span) for the Ruling families Private Farms, Government Departments and local farmers in the entire Emirates.
Al Darmaky also participates in different tenders for the supply of Agriculture, Horticulture and Irrigation inputs to various government departments and institutions in the UAE, "Outsourcing Works of Operation and Maintenance of Public Parks and Landscapes in Al Ain as well as the eastern Region of the Emirate. "CONTRACT (3) FOR THE SECTOR OF TOWN CENTRE AREA" is one of these landmark projects. Al Darmaky implement the latest Sustainable Landscape methods & practice the operation and maintenance for the improvement and development works, using the advanced irrigation network systems and designs. Al Darmaky utilize new concepts with plants that tolerates the local weather conditions with less irrigation demands, also apply new landscape components that is safe to the natural Environment of the U. A. E.
In procession with Abu Dhabi Government plans and privatizing municipal services, Al Darmaky is one of the leading companies that are Pre-Qualified all over the United Arab Emirates Municipalities to implement high standards quality services; that the government and municipalities demand to achieve for the landscaping future in the Emirates.
In order to support Al Darmaky’s’ Landscape & Horticulture Projects , Al Darmaky set up its own nursery with an area of 4000 M², in order to sustain and to supply the market with shrubs, trees, seasonal, indoor & outdoor plants, tissue culture Date Palm trees.
In Addition, Al Darmaky developed Steel and Shade Structure Division. The concept of this division is to form an integration element for Al Darmakys demand and incorporate the process of work from conceptual design, structural design, shop drawings, fabrication, construction, up to the final handing over of the projects, covering the three major areas such as;
•Shade and tensile Structure for gardens, car shades, swimming pools, playground areas, school court yard cover and more, using HDPE, PVC and PTFE fabric.
•Nurseries, with shade net from all range of shading factors.
•Steel Structures (e.g. Factories, Warehouses, workshops…etc.).

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.Control purchasing department budgets.Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying and storing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.Create and implement KPI’s.Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales.Maintain records of goods ordered and received.Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.Prepare bid awards requiring board approval.Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualification and Experience Required:

 Degrees in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing 5+ years in a management position.10 years’ experience in a broad range of purchasing activities.BTEC, HND/HNC, or NVQ certifications is a plus.Must possess a valid UAE driver’s license.  Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent financial skills in budgeting, costing, and reporting.The ability to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions. Bilingual communication, a plus. Proficient in MS Office Suite.
