Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
Extensive experience in procurement, logistics and vendor development areas.
Good working knowledge of electro-mechanical services and equipment.
Closely interact with Project and Engineering functions to understand the actual project requirements.
Ability to lead and motivate his team members.
Should be be able to ensure proper follow-ups and timely delivery of all materials.
Ability to manage the entire activities of the Materials Department.
Extensive knowledge in computer based materials management programme including materials coding.
Strong ability to negotiate well with suppliers/sub-contractors and obtain the best prices and payment terms for the materials/services procured.
Effectively co-ordinate with the Quality Function to conduct the necessary inspection for establishing the acceptability of the materials/sub-contract works with respect to the project requirements.
